Introduction:

We are goingto have a wonderful time this year! I look forward to enjoying a respectful, creative learning environment in which to study American literature. I encourage you to express your ideas and individuality in appropriate ways.

Classroom Procedures

  1. Respect- This is the number one rule in our classroom. Disrespect will NOT be tolerated. Please respect your classmates, the room, and the teacher. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself. You deserve to learn in a safe and stable environment.

  1. Be on time- Be ready and in your seat once the tardy bell rings. You will be considered tardy if you are not in the classroom and in your seat when the final bell rings. (District policy states that if you are 30 or more minutes late for class you will be considered absent.)

  1. Be prepared- Bring materials to class everyday. Materials include (but are not limited to)

- Pencil and pen (blue or black ink)

- Paper

- Notebook (preferably 3 ring with pockets or folders)

  1. No food or drinks (except bottled water) in class at any time.

  1. Keep all electronic devices off and away

All rules/ expectations as stated in the BGHS student handbook will also be enforced.
